BON da Bomb!

Brothers' Battle of Nasyeedians totally rocked the night!! :puteh_14:

okay. buruk betul emoticon itu.

Amazingly, number of brothers EXCEEDED sisters. Can you believe it??

Emcees with sense of humours kept the night lively

Lets see who were the judges (from left): Brother Muadz under Overall Performance, Brother Syahril In-Team under Vocal and Brother Halim Devotees under Song & Lyrics (supposed to be Song & Music cuz the lyrics werent originally created by the participants)

ps. see me and my friend at the back there?? we were whispering:
nad: ain, kesian mamat tu ko mintak tolong dye amek gamba gune kamera ko.. mesti orang pelik kenape ade brother yang gune kamera kaler pink..
ain: ohahahaha.. mesti dye malu giler dowh.. tapi comel ape.. menyerlahkan kelelakian sejati melalui warna yang lembut dan menawan hati.. (ayat last saje2 ditokok tambah untuk menyedapkan cerita)

gelak2 sampai sakit perut. jahat betul. dasar tak mengenang budi punye pompuan..

Now, let the BATTLE...... begins!!!

The first group called themselves: Soutul Amal. They performed 'InsyaAllah' and 'Permataku'

Then followed by Generation with 'SurgaMu' and 'Stand Together'. Stand Together is In-Team's song and they FORGOT the lyrics during the singing!

OMG, what were they thinking? Hello.... In-Team's vocalist was the judge!

tetibe emo plak.. huhu

A group with a complicated name: Serovose', Sorvose' or Serevosay.
They sang 'Innovation' and 'Wahai Teman' in acapella. The latter song was a song sang by Muslim Voice of Akademi Fantasia Al-Quran Nasyid. You can view the original video right here.

Oh. I forgot. I managed to record Serovose's performance, you can click here to view it.

The fourth was Soul with 'Fikir' and 'A Country Kid'

The fifth aka last group performed was from the CAC commitees: The Verse. They sang 'Thank You Allah' and 'Nur Syahadah' harmoniously.

Full house! Please have a look at the brothers who were EAGERLY standing by the doors to watch the show. Oh boy, you guys seriously ENJOY the nasyeed performances?

seriously, sarcasm is bad for my health. i should watch my words from now on.

Last year's winner of BON: Etika. They sang 'Kekasih Awal dan Akhir' by Jamal Abdillah. If you wanna have a sneak peek on how they did it, see it here.

Etika with Saljuk (second place in last year's BON).

A MUST-SEE video: Ayat-Ayat Cinta (UIA Version).

They were totally awesome to the MAX! :puteh_4:

ops. salah emotion pulak. theheee. jangan salah faham ye.. :puteh_23:

After all five groups performed, Brother Syah made brief comments on the participants. He stressed that failing to remember the lyrics can lead to many problems afterwards. It might affect the level of confidence of the group members. Preparation is necessary. Intro and Outro songs are not compulsory. The effect of singing nasyeed can be seen in our akhlak, he said.

I was sitting at the front seat and yes, I can see him clean and clear... :puteh_26:

kenape la sume emoticons aku ni tak berapa nak senonoh ek?? hm.. konpius2..

While waiting for the results, Feelhoney entertained us with their song 'Satu Janji'. They were from Universiti Malaya (UM), an independent (indie) nasyeed group.

Brother Halim Devotees sang 'Nilaian Sebuah Tangisan'. He is so COOL!
His white jacket has a hoodie at the back and I totally looove it!
